This was our very first Xmas party, we had managed to strike a deal with Boston BBQ Constantia Park for a buffet. Although not everybody was as the arrangements where made late durng the December month – a majority of the collective had gone home or on holiday already.
Needless to say one enjoyed the food and especially the bottomless beer service Iam sure Wesley can attest to that. That day i had actually got my first and probably last lesson on how to eat as much as possible from Paledi – yes the skinny Paledi lol. Oh and how can i forget my leadership skills were put to the test that night, because of the late arrangements al we had was a map downloaded from Google maps. It took us almost 2hours to get to Constantia park from Pretoria, the tention was intense we got lost twice – to add injury to instult it was raining cats and dogs. That night i learnt a very important lesson that to lead you have to learn to follow first.
On our way back home we were (correction: I was, because everbody else was getting really irritated by the constant repetition) banging ‘Umlilo’ the hit song by Big Nas a really hot kwaito group with a distinct Durban sound at the time.
