Kev, you can draw comparison between spain (a national team) and barca (a club)… but don’t make the mistake of linking the nation’s success to one lionel… his national team has almost been relegated to “ancient” history with regards to triumphing over it’s counterparts

After Pele’s achievements, who ever wears that number 10 jersey draws comparison to the “great” Pele who scored mostly from off-side positions, I might add. Clearly the piece was written by a non-Barca supporter, we all know the spanish team the won the wcup and defended Euro is barca (-Messi). But I won’t go into politics, what I can say – the current crop of barca players have created a solid foundation for developing football stars, and the next generation of barca players… For us its not just football- in Catalonia, its a way of life- like spices in india, hooligans in england and the mafia in italy… Its life.
