what is a poor man's life worth in this country?? a friend said to me recently: there will come a time when the poor have nothing else but the rich to feed on...i do however appreciate Mr. Sibeko, how you point out that the miners are no "angels" either...but how long can the poor's voices be suppressed by this blanket of inequality, profit hungry corporations and an inadequate/corrupt government that seems to have forgotten that it is the very same miners or people like these throughout the country that have given them the very power they fail apply constructively? and within this tragedy are the unions which have like the government lost the plot: which is indeed to serve the people...what happened in Marikana and what is happening almost daily through these so called "service delivery protests" is a clear signal of the puss bubbling within the wound that was never healed - but patched up by Madiba's rainbow nation bandages...well fact is the honeymoon is over!!! sooner or later this country will have to deal with the pains of the past and present that were swept "under the carpet" all the miners want is what is due to them, i am no business genius but if i am going to risk my life on daily basis for your business then "atleast" give me a piece of the pie!!! i think this country will eventually grow from strength to strength, but until we all play our part individuals and organisations alike the blood will flow one way or another - for indeed the poor and rich alike can bleed - AND ANYBODY CAN BE TOUCHED, EVEN THE LONMIN MINE SHAREHOLDERS!!!!
