Twinkle twinkle little stars, how I wonder what you are? Is of course a beautiful melody on the lips of many a relative literary generation. From carriage within the womb to breeding the infant in preparation to the outside world, in our world, such a little star was born, right at the center of the Southern Region of the Republic of South Africa. Limpopo Province has a star and her name is Natasha Mokgala.
Natasha Mokgala, a young lad aged nine (9), has been receiving blessings from above during the early days of her life. Hailing all the way from Flora Park in the capital city of Africa’s Eden, Limpopo, she carries her weight like a simple average everyday undiscovered humble world leader and friend.
Still young as she is, she takes educational classes at Oos Skool Polokwane, a multi-racial school that allows her to use all different languages spoken by the South African societies. She started showing keenness in sports such as golf and karate at an early age of five (5), which she’s been predominantly excelling in since her inception in the field and so far, she’s already gained international acclamation by pioneers.
Natasha Mokgala started modeling competitions during the Mokopane Show, just outside Polokwane, where she challenged for Little Miss Biltong Fees 2008. She was crowned 3rd place. The second competition was the Little Miss Nations South Africa 2009, where she got nominated to further participate at national level where she got crowned 1st Princess. Fortunately, that’s the chance to open arms as the opportunities came vastly taking her to international stages.
Natasha participated for the first time on the international stage as the 1st Princess to Little Miss Nations in Turkey for the Little Miss Universe 2009, hence she made South Africa proud by winning 1st Princess of the Universe.
She currently holds the title of 1st Princess of Miss Little Planet and Best Child Model of the African Continent, which she won during the 28th May- 7 June 2010 at Bourgas, Sol Nessebar Palace Resort in Balgaria. In her capacity as Best Child Model of the African Continent, she won the Best Child Catwalk Model of the World 2010.
Other titles that goes in her name include: 1st Princess of Little Miss Planet, Little Miss Smile Universe 2009 (Antalya, Turkey, 5-12 June), Best Model of the World 2010 (Bulgaria, 13-23 June 2010), 1st Princess of Little Miss SA Nations 2009 and Best Evening Gown 2009.
She’s currently an honorary patron of the Mapungubwe Children Foundation as well as an Ambassador of the Limpopo Youth Orchestra.
She’s just joined a modeling academy as a junior trainer to assist in unearthing aspirant models, making her the first in the world junior trainer of her age.
Just recently, she partook in a competition organized by the Shorinjiryu Karatedo Institute during 2007-09, a USN Tournament which was held in Gauteng Province notwithstanding the Skisa International Tournament which was held in Durban during the same period. Natasha notably obtained six (6) gold medals for 1st place and four (4) silver medals for 2nd place. She’s currently in the Purple Belt Grade.
