I believe the depth of this issue is beyond ignoranance. its sad that perception still crafts reality in the eyes of men. there is still a high level of tolerance and it has built on a foundation of emotions and this is shaken easily as in the case of Terreblanche's murder, the famous Reitz four etc. I believe we need to stop hiding beyond flying the flag, sit in one room and face these issues straight to the core. We need a forum all of us white, black, coloured and talk about this to change the future

There is no substitute for effort.and the continued effort that you continue to inject into your work is evident in the many replies to your work.such honesty cant be purchased.the subject matter of identity in a race emphasized society is quite problematic.i think much of the problem in the republic is that we are expected to pretend to play along to the jovial hyposis of rainbowness.i think that the race relations of the republic can improve only when economic structures shift.i also think that its quite to generalize on perceptions of other races because we arent talking about any particular individual.but when we take time to learn of others experiences and find resonance in their experiences, its then that we realize that we arent as different as we thought, or were taught,to think we are.

Matt, dope article about a dope concept, i ddnt see the show but i get a sense of what it's about... Now, just think about this: what if what we need is not a rainbow nation, but a blob of smudged colours, where you cant even recognise the colour, where a line cannot be drawn between the red and green and yellow... Because in all essence, when you see a rainbow, we can differentiate the colours. I know it sounds too ideal to manifest as reality, we still have a long way to go as a nation, and nothing is black and white...
