@Sivu and A Sense.Thank you for your continued reading of this blog. I think that our president tends to be a “I dont want to be like Thabo Mbeki” and ends up not doing anything or not taking tough decision which ought to be taken. The strike will have to end because the bills will pile up for the strikers and those with huge bonds will have to give in,I’d like to think. One thing that I’ve learnt from this sordid affair is that we have a very contradictory Constitution. If those conflicting statements arent ‘fixed’, then, I promise you we havent seen the last of this strikes.

Interesting read indeed. You can’t be teacher’s pet if you’re president, YOU ARE THE TEACHER! Mr Goody-Goody all the time, I agree, as a president, you must make tough decisions, not to look like a good person, but for the greater good… as a president, it’s not about whether people like you or not, it’s about making decisions that might make you look mean, but benefitting the country that you’re serving… THE STRIKE MUST END NOW, ONE EXTREME (either the government or the unions) MUST GIVE IN NOW!
