As the salt of this world we should be able to read the seasons: the world’s economy has collapsed, every government body is at a recession. Remember we are spiritual beings and this is because, during creation God breathed His spirit into us, and that made us more like Him; spirit. When He created the Heavens and the Earth, He spoke through His spirit and the Earth was formed. What then does this season of economic collapse mean in the spiritual realm?
God through His word promised to His chosen ones exceeding wealth, that even in the period of drought, He will sustain them. The book of Numbers 23:19 teaches us that God is Faithful; it says “God is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not do it? Does He promise and not fulfil it?”
We are experiencing an economic famine because of the war taking place in the spiritual realm which then manifests in the physical; Lands are being auctioned, cars are being repossessed, food prices are on the rise because of there is a shortage of food in the global market; you can’t even go to the movies as often as you use to. But then again, even in this economic meltdown, surprisingly enough, you get people who are well-off and are not complaining about anything because they have more than enough. These are usually the wealthy folks and they always strive to give back to the community. These are people that give generously, be it the saved or the not so saved but they discovered that wealth is gained through giving away a lot of it.
The book of Proverbs 3:9 – 10 says “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.” This is what it means to know how to read the seasons. This is a season where we have to first seek God’s face and be obedient to Him in Honoring Him with our first fruits to be sustained even in this draught. This is an act accompanied by Faith (in the spirit) and manifests in the physical to cover all aspects of our wealth generated. Philippians 4:19 says “And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” What we all need now is to have remarkable wealth and wealth that it is sustained. The catch here is, we need to obey His word and give with willing hearts and right then we are ensured good Health, vats bursting with wine, doors opening, favour, good relationships in our families, remarkable joy and His hand is upon us always to protect our produce from the devil who comes to still, kill and destroy.
Romans 5:8 says “But God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ Jesus died for us.” So beloved, read your seasons correctly and give generously and you will be sustained until this gruesome famine is gone. Glory be to His name
