Up on Mount Sinai, Moses saw a plant on fire but was not consumed by the fire…this was amazing because right then he drew closer to see what really was going on. And a Voice came from the consuming fire and said; “Take off your sandals, for the ground u stand upon is Holy”….this was God – the consuming Fire – speaking to His servant. He came in the form of consuming fire because He had heard the cry from His children and He has come to release them from bondage. He said to Moses; “Tell them that I am the I am.”…. and the Israelites were released from Egypt.
The King of Babylon took Israel into slavery; he gave them instructions to bow down to his gods. there were three men who said, “we will not bow down to any other god but the God of our fathers Abraham and Jacob.” the King heard of these men and ordered for them to be brought forward. He told his guards, make the fire SEVEN times hotter, and put Shadrack, Meshack and Abednigo in it. Little did he know that the hotter the fire is, the better the results. What was worse is that he ordered them tomake it SEVEN times Hotter and seven is the number of perfection; and God Himself is a consuming fire. The three men went in and came out of the fire with a fourth man and untouched just like the plant at Mount Sinai…
The revelation in the story is: u will go through Fire. The devil will try all he can to get you in to situations wherein you will feel it is the end of the road. Let me encourage you by saying, the HOTTER the FIRE, the better the results, because that fire will only provoke God into a strong and mighty battle to make sure that the fire does not burn you. To make sure that His angels cause confusion in the camp of the devil…beloved, whatever you are going through, just lay back, relax and let God be the Consuming fire in the fire that you are in….
